Encourage Students to Answer their Classmates' Questions First
Timer delays allow instructors to hold off on answering student questions immediately, thereby encouraging other students to answer questions in the meanwhile. You can see when the timers are up and questions are due to be answered. Only instructors can see the timer.
1. Click on Manage Class > Customize Q&A:
2. Click Enable next to Timer delays near the bottom of the list:
3. Timers can be enabled by clicking Set Timer in a student's question post:
Which will then give you several timer options:
Timed posts show green indicators when active, and red when the timer has expired.
