Our tagging feature allows instructors to notify fellow instructors of important posts, including private posts. When tagged, instructors receive a real-time email notification, bypassing email preferences.
To tag an instructor in a post, simply type the @ symbol, and then the instructor's name, such as @George Washington. As you type the recipient's name, it will be auto-filled and you will be able to select it from a drop-down menu.

You have the option to allow students to tag instructors in posts. To do this, please click the Manage Class tab at the top of the page, and then click Customize Q&A. Then, under Instructor Tagging in Posts, select Students can tag instructors and click Save Changes.
To disable this feature for both instructors and students, please click Disable next to Instructor Tagging, and then click Save Changes.
