Instructors have the ability to ban a student from posting in their class for a specified amount of time. Students who are banned will not be dropped from their class, but will be prevented from creating new posts. Instructors can undo bans at any time. Banning does not reveal a student's anonymity.

1. To ban a student from posting in a class, first click on Ban User Console to the left of a post's history slider:

2. Then use the Question History slider to find the contributor you would like to ban from posting in your class:

3. Once you have found the contributor you would like to ban, use the dropdown menu to specify the duration of the ban:

4. Then click Ban user:

If you would like to undo a ban, click undo. You can undo a ban at any time by going to the original post where you banned the student:
